Shannon Pace Elected to Board of Directors of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry®


May 2008 – Chesapeake, VA – Shannon Pace of Chesapeake, VA, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD). Shannon Pace was elected at the organization’s 24th Annual AACD Scientific Session, held in New Orleans, LA, in May 2008.

“I am honored to serve on the Board of Directors of the AACD. This is the premier organization for advancing excellence in cosmetic dentistry, and I am excited to help lead the profession into the future,” commented Shannon Pace.

The AACD Board of Directors is comprised of 16 elected officials from varying cosmetic dental backgrounds. Its chief responsibilities include: supervising the direction of the AACD, determining its policies and maintaining the AACD standard of excellence throughout all aspects of the organization.

Shannon Pace is a DA II and a 1994 graduate of the Dental Assisting Program at Bowman Gray School of Medicine. She works with Dr. John Cranham in his private practice in Chesapeake, VA. Shannon Pace is the first dental assistant to be elected to the AACD Board of Directors.
