Surgical Alternatives – How to Achieve Predictable Results
St. Petersburg, FL – September 2, 2008 – The Dawson Academy will provide dentists with the knowledge to perform contemporary restorative procedures at the highest level.
The two-and-a-half-day lecture, Achieving Predictable Results, will be given by Peter E. Dawson, DDS, John C. Cranham, DDS, and Glenn E. DuPont, DDS, and will take place on November 6-8 at the Tradewinds Resort in St. Pete Beach, Florida.
This lecture is part of The Dawson Academy’s Core Curriculum; the fee is $1,495 per student, and after completing the lecture, each student will receive 19 continuing education credits. The lecture is available to general dentists, specialists and laboratory technicians.
About the Lecture
This lecture will teach a time tested process for taking a patient from treatment planning to completion including: treatment sequencing, provisionalization, material selection and laboratory communication. Each student will leave with a clear understanding of four treatment options: reshaping, repositioning, restoring and surgical alternatives. Preliminary mouth preparation, such as necessary periodontal procedures and occlusal equilibration, will be covered in detail. Necessary soft-tissue surgical procedures which provide an ideal gingival backdrop will also be covered. Tooth preparation for crowns and veneers will be understood by each participant, and soft-tissue management, in conjunction with final impression-taking techniques, will be discussed in great detail. Provisional restoration, bite registration techniques, and cementation/adhesive options will be also a cornerstone of this presentation.
